SET BREAKDOWN
LIVING ROOM

The Living room set was designed to be the morning after the greatest party of all time. The type of party where people spend the next week trying to paint a picture of what happened that night.. and how a horse ended up in the sitting room. The goal of the art dept was that there could be no explanation for the magnitude of this party. Using the interior of a house on Universal's Colonial St, we transformed the empty living room into a texture and color filled morning-after featuring a recreation of The Creation of Adam.
Block Party

The street set needed to feel like the tail end of a Super Bowl block party. The chaos and excitement of the big game, paired with the impending hangover. We wanted to incorporate references to past iconic commercials--including the Paris Hilton car wash. The goal was a somewhat timeless feel to everything art brought in to create the sense that this could take place in tandem with Carl's Jr's early 2000's commercials. Each pocket of this block party created its own sense of camaraderie (and levels for camera).
Dressing Room

The commercial opens with a person, wearing Carl's Jr jeans walking through a set, leading the camera to Alix Earle in her dressing room.
A few favorite details include:
-A rack of jeans rolls by as a nod to Ms. Earle's new skinny jean line.
-Real 1970s Carl's Jr promotional mugs on her vanity
-A hand painted Carl's Jr drive through backdrop
-We pass by a photoshoot with a model holding melons, referencing Charlotte McKinney's Carl's Jr ad
